A Senior Moment

An elderly couple were having dinner at their elderly friends' house. After dinner was finished, the wives left the table and went to the kitchen to clean the dishes.

The two elderly gentlemen were talking, and one said,

"Last night we went out to a new restaurant, and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly."



The other man said,

"What is the name of the restaurant?"

The first man thought and thought and thought and finally said,

"What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... the one that is red and has thorns."

"Do you mean a rose?"



"Yes, that's it!" the man said "a rose!"

Then he turned toward the kitchen and yelled,

"Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?"

I didn't forget - just got carried away with things today & forgot until it was all over that I hadn't yet wished you a great one. Hope you had a wonderful day! Sending you a little age-appropriate humor for the occasion.

Life is still a bit crazy around here. Our oldest son with liver cancer is doing pretty well with his treatments. Our 2nd son, who had a serious house fire in Oct., is still living in a hotel. Our youngest son, who lived in Oregon for 20-some years, has quit his job & moved back home with us. He's being a tremendous help around here in so many ways! He is, of course doing some serious job-hunting. Our daughter & family are doing very well & returned from a Florida trip today. We'll be getting our 2nd Covid vaccine next Tues.
