Make your own instruments:Paper Mache Fruit Shakers
Materials:
· Vegetable Spray · Pieces of Fruit · Shredded Newspaper · Paste (made of 3 parts water and 1 part glue) · Acrylic Paints · Clear finish (water- based Polyurethane) · Paint Brushes Instructions: Put a thin coating of vegetable spray on a piece of fruit.
Then, dip pieces of newspaper in glue, removing excess by pulling paper between
fingers. Completely cover fruit with several layers of newspaper. Allow to dry
for a few days. Then, cut fruit in half with a serrated knife, and remove fruit
and skin. Put rice or other filler in paper fruit, and use small amount of
masking tape to seal halves together. Repeat with several more layers of
glue-dipped newspaper, and again allow to dry. Paint with appropriate

Real Musical FoodThe Vienna Vegetable Orchestra: (See a video of them in action here) Founded in 1998, the Orchestra consists of 11 musicians and plays concerts in Europe and Asia. All of their instruments are made completely out of vegetables. Here you can see some of their instruments:
Flute 'n' Veg: Also known as Bella music, this group consists of 2 musicians, Kerry Fletcher and Alain Thirion both from Western Australia. Many of their instruments are made from carrots or other vegetables. But, they also play an array of instruments from around the world. They often tour music festivals and schools to show off their instruments and teach the importance of a healthy diet.
