Wishing you a Wonderful Holiday Season!

This holiday season Heike and I would like to extend our wishes for a wonderful and introspective holiday season for you and yours, and our hope that 2024 will bring peace and solace despite the heavy burden some are carrying.

This year, 2023, has flown by faster than the year before. What seems to amplify the dizzying speed with which the year has passed is how much our granddaughters have grown up and become beautiful young ladies with the loving guidance of their parents, Kevin & Joanna.

Francesca is in her last year of high school and will soon be leaving for some distant college or university. We are excited for her as her horizons will continue expanding as she prepares to fly the nest and chart a course that will define the rest of her life. We could not be prouder of her and her sporting and academic accomplishments!

Gigi will be entering high school next year and is looking forward to the move. Also excelling academically, she already has a notion of the direction she will be taking and plans to follow it in the field of engineering. It is so fun watching her take off as another "gear head" like her dad, and as a soon to be 14-year-old she cannot wait to get her license and continue accompanying Kevin on regular forays to the race track.

And then there is Jules. The youngest of the three, at eleven it has been a wonderment watching her learn from her sisters. Two years behind Gigi, she is in the sixth grade and doing equally well in school. It is too soon to know what path she will take, but whatever it is, it will be exciting. When she was nine, I asked her to remind me what she thought she might be when she grows up. Her answer was three-fold: an archeologist, a cosmetic surgeon, and a billionaire. A billionaire? Why a billionaire? I asked. Because I like to eat, Opa!, she answered. It is going to be interesting watching where this goes.

As 2023 comes to a close, recognizing we have become our parents we will be embarking on a new adventure, moving from our home of 34 years into an end of the trail community of octogenarians and older, content on having someone there when needed to prolong our quality of life. This next stage is also gonna be interesting! Stay tuned.

Our best to you all!
